I have to make a Project with the msp430g2553 for a subject from my post graduation course. And in my Project the msp430 will receive a password from a matrix keypad to active a dc motor and unlock a door. But I can’t make the part of the code that read the inputs and receive the password, and so I’m here looking for someone to help me with this. If somebody can help me I’ll tell the hardware details, and the I/O that I want to use.

Begin by showing us a circuit diagram of how you wired the keypad to the MCU.

It needs 8 bits to work, so I intend to use the pins p1.0, p1.1,p1.2, p1.3, p1.4, p1.5, p2.0 and p2.1 (left side of launch pad) as I/O to it. And other pins to run a dc motor through an integrated circuit l293d that makes a H bridge.
And I may use more pins for 1 or 2 leds.

Though MrChips didn't have lessons on the keypad reader and motor driver, but if you're stucked with the programming part, I think it would be helpful to read MrChips blog on the MSP430 Launcher.

I've just found a code that does what I want, but is has been compiled in Energia which I don't. Does anybody know Energia?
If I could "translate" this code I think my problems would be solved.

u can easily receive password from keypad. Just make array for the password.and when u enter password just push it in array and compare it with password.
