How to only allow 3v - 6v in circuit

Based upon your previous posts, I understand you to mean that you want a device that 'passes through' any applied EMF up to 6V but holds the output at 6V for input > 6v?

Is so you are describing an active shunt (a.k.a. 'crowbar' q.v.) configured as a regulator...
