How to estimate the speed of the motor

So it seems that the application is rather unique, and probably some direct communication with the code provider (ST) could help a lot.
The ST team do not have a similar motor and the motors they are testing do not have this issue. So, I could not ask for more i need to solve by myself.

OK, and certainly a hub motor starts at full load or more than full load. Is it a combination pedal bike plus E-Bike?? Or only an electric motorbike, without pedals?? I once tried one of those that would not engage the electric drive until it was rolling at some low speed. THAT would solve the problem completely.

It is an electric bike without pedals.

OK, that means it always starts at zero speed and full load. AND, finally in post#24 we find that it is on an E-BIKE, which is a rather different sort of motor application. So just like an actual motorcycle, the startup involves a bit of slipping. Not with a clutch, but instead with forcing the electrical rotation to be faster than the mechanical rotation, similar to a PM synchronous motor starting up. That would be the scheme to use, unless the goal is starting from zero with maximum torque.
THAT is a great way to break traction and do a tire-smoking burn-out. Probably an alternative scheme, with reduced torque until a higher speed, will be more effective.
