Hello,i need to create a feeding network as following with unique amplitude and phase at each end
Where 1 is normaized to the full amplitude of the inpude signal ,0.4 is 0.4*amp .
-50 means -50 degrees.
how can we do it mathmatickly when designing microstrip feeding network?
Thanks.

Hello Irving,at 5GHz for example.
When i do a a feeding network for an array , is ussually dividing the power by some ratio, like water flowing half here and half there.

could you please show me the logic of the microstrip structure creates these power and phases
If we look at the structure bellow we have width 1 divided into 2 and 3 which will create some power dividing.
but then we put a discontinuety on both of them marked 4 and 5.What is the logic in this ?
Thanks.

Do you understand how a length of transmission line can be used to match impedances? And how to use a Smith chart?

I believe those additions are to move the 'starting point' ie gain/phase for subsequent branches to make them all end up with reasonable values (lengths of transmission line)
