How to control Servomotor by atmega8

i want to produce a PWM to control my 5v servomotor through PORTC (0,1,2 or 3) specifically.
i'm new in embedded system and currently just working with atmega8 like blinking LED's controlling motors, IR sensor like simple stuff so do not have that deep knowledge
any suggestion is appreciated and thank you in advance :)
