I am studying a schematic, and am not sure how this reset switch is supposed to work:




I cannot find any other switch that uses this symbol, and it just looks like all of the pins are shorted to ground. I don't understand why/how this switch works on the actual board. Is anyone able to understand this schematic? I appreciate any help!

In your situation two pins are cut off and is the switch mounted in a frame.

That makes a lot more sense. I wonder why they would provide a wrong schematic with this board though..

 

That's a DTS6 switch. It has four pins. Two are connected to the frame (the two furthest from the edge of the board) and two connect to the two switch contacts (the two nearest the edge of the board).
This is the horizontal version of the DTS6 switch. The diagram @bertus posted is the vertical version, which also has four pins, but two are connected to each terminal of the switch.
