Put it, open, in a soundproof box and check every so often to see if the battery has run down.

 

Glue/tape the card shut and write the greeting on the back.

On many cards, this paper lever is visible. Cut it in two and slide the pieces in until the sound stops. Place a drop of glue on the cut lever and let dry.

You may be able to repurpose the piezo speaker. But it’s not going to be loud. Plus, you have to research how to drive it and what is It’s specifications are?

The chip is unlikely to be able to repurposed. First, I suspect it’s a COB. Second, it’s likely proprietary. You have no idea how to program it. Nor erase its memory and store your sound file in the chip.
