All,
My company recently purchased the aforementioned HIwin measuring system. The goal for our machine is to connect the measuring system to a PLC and control the length of various parts to be cut. Unfortunately, I am having trouble getting the information to the PLC. I have read many times about the plc's high speed counter. But, I am completely unfamiliar with how it works. Can someone please shine some light on this mess. Thank you very much, in advance, for any information you may have.

 

Doesn't the Hiwin have a quadrature TTL output?
I have not used the AB mini PLC but you normally would need a quadrature module in order to have the high speed input from the measuring system.
The Mini may not have that feature?
