Well shucks.......the guy a voted for today.....came in last. Hadn't been out of the house in months and dead last. And 2 deer ticks on me when I returned home.

Lime anyone? That's all I need.
If you got them off within I think 6 hrs you could have done a round of antibiotics or some other medication. But, even if it's been a day you can get tested for it.

Your spelling threw me off. I thought you were mixing a drink! ;)

My grandson contracted lyme disease for the 2nd time recently. He had a tiny tick for no more than a couple hours and yet started showing symptoms a couple days later. This is not supposed to happen! The doctors and references you see online all suggest that a young (small) tick is unlikely to transmit and that a tick needs to firmly attach over a day or more to transmit the disease. They also say you shouldn't get lyme disease more than once. My grandson is showing them all wrong, poor kid. Thanks goodness for amoxycillin.

I think few realize how transformational this is.

Kim Jong-un is setting the stage for his "people" [oppressed subjects] to be accepting of Trump and America. Things are moving faster than I ever imagined they could.

I am skeptical about the ultimate outcome of the NK/US talks. But I am beginning to believe that KJU really wants this.

I am guardedly optimistic that we are beginning to see the end of the Hermit Kingdom.

And peace on the Korean peninsula.

... the operative word being "guardedly", I'm sure ... a quite skeptic myself, but on the other hand, I don't think anything bad can result of all this ... unless KJU is just buying time, as he's many times done before ... we shall wait and see

Maybe we (those of us on the outside that are feeling optimistic) are being fooled again, but something tells me this is already baked into Trump's cake.
Let me elaborate:

To us, this looks like the opening move.

I think Trump has already (in advance of the summit) set up the end game.

It wouldn't surprise me.

It will be interesting, indeed. His country has literally everything in the world to gain and, if he can stay in a position of power, he can certainly win also. But he has a lot to lose on a personal level and the big loser could be the Kim family dynasty, if things get out of control and the people rise up to take them down. KJU might set himself to be the savior of North Korea and will surely secure his legacy there, so if the people give him credit for that, maybe he'll survive it.

Edit: I meant to quote this:

One problem with being a "god" to your people is that you have to remain infallible in order to keep their faith.

It's going to be damn difficult for him to claim "America is bad" once the word that "America is good" gets out.

He's god in his own country. He's the one who defines what's good and what's bad, and what a truth and a lie is ... I don't think he's gonna have a problem with his own subjects...

Pompeo.....says de-nuc by first term. I believe this is fake and set up by Trump. So that Trump can complete......ahead of schedule. A trademark of Trump. Set schedule.....so schedule can be beat.

Edit: This fuckin Trump.....I love him. Not one politician or judge can remember what party their in.

Yeah. I've grown pretty affectionate myself.

My favorite president ever was Reagan. But, in many ways, Trump has already surpassed him.
Agreed. If only both had a few qualities of the other. Charisma plus getting-$hit-done would be awesome.

One big negative about Trump before the election was the "unknown" factor, the uncertainty about how he would actually perform once he got the job. He's blown that away and is clearly more of a known entity now. That may make him more hated than ever by his opposition, but his supporters can now be more confident than ever.

Charisma...
If you look at the way Trump interacts with individual humans, I think he has a great deal of charisma.

But, I also believe he is a bare-knuckle fighter. He doesn't play nice against his adversaries, the way a good "statesman" is supposed to. In many ways, this is a breath of fresh air.
