High temp arc inverter

HI,

I need to find an inverter, DC (12V or so) to the output that allows a high temperature arc to exist for a minute or so with an arc gap about 4mm or so (it's about 2kV/mm I guess to start).
I know that one could be made easily using a multivibrator or a 555 chip and a flyback xfmr, or bought on eBay for $5, but I need to find a small one manufactured by a reputable company as that eventually might go to a final product. I cannot seem to find anyone who makes them other than some no-name guys from China.

Any information would be appreciated.

The truth is I am not 100% sure but from the app literature it is estimated about up to 20mA. At the gap of 3mm or so. This at the 700V per mm gives us up to 40W possible power.
I cannot really talk about application due to some restrictions.

Thanks!
