medical, cant discuss any further.
There is no recognized medical use for such high voltages per se. X-ray and other imaging, yes. But this clandestine project is suspicious. Most important, the type of questions you ask are being addressed by amateurs (me) and anonymous individuals here. What legitimate country's DOD would rely on that?

My flag just turned red.

Sir please try to control your imagination. This is not a Clandestine, Secret, or Top Secret or whatever project. All of my clients have me sign a non disclosure form whenever I develop prototypes for them. That is standard business practice when contracting. Not a Clandestine Operation. Please display professional courtesy Sir or refrain from commenting.

What's the difference between a secret project and an NDA project?
How in the world did you get that contract from a national military? Since it's military, is that government under any sanctions?
The design you are working on here is public. How will it be used to medically benefit anyone should not be secret.

Members and staff have a right to inquire about the nature of projects, particularly those with inherent hazards, that are posted in public on this forum. Abuse and threats are not suitable responses to such inquires. It's nothing personal, it's is because we do not know the skills level of new members and do not want them to fry themselves. Also, since AAC is a repository of technical information that will persist into the future, we have an obligation to those to come from a Google search not to host potentially dangerous content.

I hope you can understand our position on this matter.

Are you saying that High Voltage at less than 1ma is dangerous? I run 10kV volts through my body with no issues.
But he is not inquiring about that. He is accusing me and harassing me about working for a "Clandestine Illegitimate Military Operation that may be under sanctions". That is defamatory, illegal and just outright nuts. I am not a criminal and dont like to be accused of being one. Is that how you allow people to be treated in these forums?

The questions about your motives were legitimate, if somewhat indelicately asked. That happens in a public forum and as you can see, our senior members are pretty good at correcting each other when appropriate in an effort to drill down to a solution to the Thread Starter's original question.
@jpanhalt and @crutschow others have rendered some useful advice for you here and cleared up the NDA/Govt. Secret issue. Sorry you are offended by the process but that happens sometimes.
If you want to proceed with your project inquires here, please do. Otherwise, I'll close the thread and we'll move on.

1) I did not say government secret. I am sure all of you are aware of industrial secrets. An NDA is an agreement between entities to define and to protect such secrets. That is why I see very little difference between the two.
2) I worked on DOD and NASA projects going as far back as the mid-60's and have been party to many NDA's during my career. @crutschow I don't have a clue where you got that impression. I have no qualms whatsoever about working with the military and have done that. However, in my experience, such contracts are not let to individuals and their institutions unless they have shown considerable competence in the field.

For some of us, with a clearance, assisting you could be construed as assisting a foreign power since you give zero information on said power (and I wouldn't want to know anyway).

What has been pointed out (more delicately than I would have) is that you state this is a military medical application, then hit us with NDA/OpSec excuse for not providing the information to help you. When you are called on it, you get all sensitive and call for the moderator.

I could help you, but I'm not going to risk getting a "ping" on my next clearance check. "So, you chatted with this guy <looks at paper> Eziekiel Rich <glares at former clearance holder> about a HV capacitive circuit for a random military... why?" I don't think they'd take "Cuz he said he was a biker and his family was US military" as an excuse.

Oh, I'm a biker and am ex-military so that doesn't work with me.

For safety's sake, I'm going to assume your current control at 1mA may fail, thus putting 2kV+ without current limiting across the human body. would produce 2kV/1.1kOhm = 1.8 amps through the heart assuming left hand to right foot. 30-75mA Resiratory Paralysis, 100-200mA ventricular fibrillation, 200-500mA heart clamps tight....

Mods: Go ahead and delete/suspend me but this really rubbed me the wrong way.
