I need to design a battery-operated boost converter that will transform 10-20V into 90V. The load will be very uneven, it will output 0.5Amp continuous with 20Amp peaks that last for 2-5 seconds and separated by 20-30 seconds.
My main challenge thing: it has to be as compact as possible. I want to minimize heat-sink and transformer. Obviously minimize number of parts too.
I know it is a bit general question, but what would anyone please recommend components and/or approaches to address this challenge?
