Your diagram is of little help without knowing the details of what's in those boxes.

 

So I have 5 12 volt batteries leading to a contactor, the contactor then splits off to a brushless controller and the motor. The negative that leads to the controller runs to a reverse forward switch then the motor, the throttle is wired to the controller direct.
Feel free to ask me about each box as I’m a bricklayer and don’t know much about electrics

Do you have part numbers, operating manuals, connection diagrams, etc.

That equipment looks well used.
Was it originally once working and now doesn't?

 

Ive got the motor working, but was given it, in that state, the controller model number is in the pic above and the throttle I’ve replaced with an amazon pedal accelerator with 3 wires, i believe to be signal and pos neg

the motor has 4 wires running from it though which confuses me due to something about 3 phase, but then I’ve been told it could be a shunt motor or different one
