Hi,
currently trying to design an accurate voltmeter using thermochromatic dyes, however I'm not sure how I would go about making my circuit heat with out shorting the circuit and keeping it at a stable temperature in order to get an accurate voltage reading. Can anyone suggest any help?

So you want to measure voltage by converting the voltage to heat, and then observe the temperature by the color of the dye?

What temperature range do you need, and what voltage range do you want that to correspond to?

Why are you doing this?

 

This project needs a whole lot more explanation, as presented it sounds like a very poor idea. So there are a whole lot more details as to why do it and what the benefit is expected to be.
