I having difficulty understanding Example 4.4 in the texbook on evaluating a 3dB attenuator circuit.
I understand how they got S11 = Zin-Zo/Zin +Zo; Zin = 8.56 Ω + (141.9 Ω // (8.56Ω + 50 Ω).
However I do not understand how they got S12 = V1*(41.44Ω//8.56Ω)*(50Ω//8.56Ω). The 41.44Ω comes from 141.8Ω//(8.56Ω +50 Ω).
