The first image (11) shows a rotating rotor with a sinusoidally distributed magnetic field in the center of a stationary coil.. which moves with an angular velocity Wm.

Now I don't understand how they got the voltages (44). How is Ecb and Ead = 0? I wasn't able to get the directions using the right/left hand rule with (BxV).l. Where does the velocity point? And why is there a - sign for Eba?

Help would be appreciated.. I haven't been able to find videos that explain this and I don't understand what my book says. :\
