Help, need to Make a one channel radio(transmitter&receiver) basically from scratch but that only has a 3 foot range, no more.
Even just learning how to make a near communication(like a fob) device with a three foot range(no greater) would work. Thanks in advance

I’m Trying to invent something. Whomever helps and I actually implement their instructions I’ll make sure to remember them and pay them back.

 

You can buy a 433 MHz transmitter & receiver set for less than $1.00, and they work pretty well.

But if you really want to do something from scratch just to prove to yourself that you can try this. In this case, drive the transmitter with an LMC555C instead of the microcontroller in the transmitter and omit the decoding microcontroller on the reciver if you want.

You're better off getting a ready made set, as RF is very hard to tune without special equipment and is prone to stray capacitance drift. Search for 433Mhz pair.
