Hello,

Without sounding like a total newb, I need some help selecting an SDRAM chip to go with my project. I know that I will need about 512Mbits of memory but that is about the extent that I know. This is my first time working with SDRAM and I don't know how to choose how many data lines or banks I will need. It will be interfacing with the Cortex M7 (SAME70) controller. Any suggestions or information on how to select an SDRAM chip would be greatly appreciated.

 

did you check what else uses that chip? google "same70 xplained schematic" and you will see designs with 16Mb etc SDRAM.
