Help Selecting MOSFET and gate driver for high speed, high-current application

I'm working on a high speed switching circuit and I need advice on selecting a suitable MOSFET and gate driver combination. The goal is to switch a load at voltages between 7V and 20V, with peak currents up to 1.5A, and operate between 500kHz and 1MHz.

The switching signal is a square wave pulse with a very low duty cycle (=<10%) with a pulse width of 100ns. The load is resistive, and the MOSFET configuration is a low-side switch using an N-Channel MOSFET.

So far, I've tried the IRLML0030 (has low gate charge, fast rise and fall times), but doesn't work with high frequencies. I'm also using a MIC4452YN gate driver, which may be too slow (40ns Propagation delay). I have also tried a couple other gate drivers like UCC27524P, MAX25615AUT/V but I could not get them, to work (did not see any output signal from the chips).

Can anyone recommend:
1. A MOSFET with fast rise and fall times (ideally <10ns) and low gate charge suitable for this application?
2. A gate driver IC with fast propagation delay (<15ns) and strong driver capabilities?

This setup is not a must, I am open to any ideas of a different setup capable of handling this application.

My suggestion: go to Mouser or Digikey, and type in MOSFET.
Select all voltages between 20V and 100V (no point in using anything over 100V), and currents over 1.5A.
Then sort on gate charge, and choose the one with the lowest.
Or try Gallium Nitride (but I'm no expert on using GaN FETs)
