Hi guys,

we are struggling to find a side actuated tactile switch. It will be used in an wearable and operated through a silicone button integrated in the device case.

In an earlier project phase we used a straight actuated model from Alps: 688-SKPRAAE010 and we were very happy with its 5N and 1mm travel.

For current prototypes we were looking for something similar but side actuated but did not find anything really good, so finally we selected this one for from Bourns: 652-7914S-1-000E and it has created a lot of troubles due to the flexible actuator and poor feeling.

It would be great if you can share your experience selecting this kind of switches, and/or if you can recommend one.

I bought a side actuator for a non named tablet for my son... They are really positive and work well.. It cost me £3.50 including delivery from china.. but!! 100 turned up and I have 99 still on my bench.
