i am trying to open some proteus files but it same impossible . i tried 8.4-8.5-8.6 versions to open this files but every time it shows "couldn't open ....file" error .

Could you please help with this.
i attached some of this files below.

This will be an attachment error.... The files are old version 7 DSN... Try to "import" them into version 8

After reading through the files in a hex editor, it seems that they are MUCH older I think V5...

When I try to read them, the program tries to "recover" the files, but something is missing.. I will trace through later

Looking at the text in the files, I see "ISIS SCHEMATIC FILE" as header of the file.
Is ISIS part of proteus?

Yes! but the file will not even try to load with V7 or V8.. So they are either too early ( 5 or 6 ) or corrupt!!

All of the files need a hex file for a pic16f877a.... But usually this is a warning, not an error..

 

How many people here can afford a copy of proteus?

 

They all open perfectly fine in R7.8 SP2. I do run under XP SP3 though, haven't tried it it under Win7. Maybe a windows version problem?
Not sure if I can save them as anything else to try.
PS: Also opened fine under R8
