I am trying to do it with out it being connected to the car

 

I have a question. I want to conect a car battery to a car generator so I can give it power by also connecting it to magnets. But if I do I would like to know first if anyone knows if it will charge or if it will need something more. I haven't done it because I'm kind of scared something more may happen. Would I need resisters or something? Please help. also, I'm trying to get the battery to charge.

Connecting it to magnets will not do anything.
The, "more" it needs is for you to turn the alternator.
The, "more" that may happen is, "nothing".

If you just go outside and start your car, you will have accomplished this experiment.

I connect a load of magnets to my car generator and battery all the time, it doesn't charge, it does it for free!.
