Hello, I'm new in PIC programing. I started with a PIC 16F84A.
What I need to do is to receive a heartbeat signal from a pulsemeter and send it to a led that flashes the same frecuency of this signal. Then I need to take another heartbeat signal and send it to another led so the first led keep the first heartbeat signal and the second led keep the second heartbeat signal and the same for some 8 more leds.
¿Can this be done with a PIC or do I need something else?
Do someone has an idea of how to do this?

Yes it can be done with a single PIC if its has enough inputs (digital or analog) to read all these signals and enough outputs to drive your leds.
If you read each signal in sequence you will be able to turn on/off the leds very accurately according to the signal's beat because the PIC works very faster than the beats of a heart.

 

Can it be done if it's just one input the one that reads the heartbeat pulses and reproduce each lecture in a new led ?

 

How the microcontroller will know which input is read at the moment?
