Hello Guys,

I have a Remington HC5200 trimmer. It was working fine but suddenly it stopped working with adapter. It runs only on batteries but If I connect it with adopter the charger light gets off and still it runs on batteries.

So I opened it and removed the batteries and connected adopter to batteries terminal but it did not work. So I took out all its circuit only remained dc motor. But when I connect the adopter directly to the motor it still does not work. That's strange.

The battery voltage is 2.4V while the adopter is 3.2V. The motor runs if I connect the battery directly to the motor but when I connect adopter terminal directly to the motor it does not work why?

 

Sounds like the adapter is dead. Is the adapter output rated as AC or DC?
