Yes, if to large a value but 10 ohm is good. You also don't have a pull down resistor on the gate. The gate of a mosfet is basically like a capacitor with regard to charge and discharge. Without a pull down resistor the gate is floating and can turn back on from stray inductance, especially if the circuit is on a breadboard. How long are the leads between gate and driver?Gate resistor is 10 ohm. Can gate resistor cause it?
