H Bridge noise suppression

I am using an H bridge driver
http://www.rohm.com/products/lsi/motor/h_bridge/driver/bd6220f/
controlled by an AVR2313, connected to a 12v dc motor. All works fine, but the only additional component I have added is a 10uF Electrolytic cap across VCC and GND. Apart from that, I have only made direct connections between i/o pins of the IC and the various power and signal sources and destinations.

What would be wise for me to add to reduce input and output "noise" to ensure reliable operation?

Electro-mechanical is not my best field, so I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks in advance...

You really need to post a schematic of your circuit. Otherwise, the thread might go on for many pages and still not get to a suitable conclusion.

Any ICs should have 0.1uF caps across their Vcc/GND connections.

You need at least 22uf, preferable ceramic or surface mount or go with 330uF low esr electrolytic caps across VCC to gnd. As close to the hbridge as possible
