Hi Im having a problem with my guitar amplifier (fender frontman 65r).

When new it was no problem then at a point when I turned the amp on it would buzzzzzz for a few seconds and then stop and work fine.... BUT now this buzzzzzzz is endless and never stops and the guitar sound is really really low in volume and very distorted.

Im looking to DIY fix it. I wanna know if anybody could somehow gimme some tips of what to look for to try fixing it.

If you have a DMM and basic electronic skill, then post some pictures

see if its the same circuit, start by grounding the input of the master amplifier to see if it stops, then try the same on the preamp, also check the supplies.

 

There are a bunch of guitar amp fix videos on youtube, see if you can find one showing a similar model to yours and that should give you an idea of how to start. I don't remember the guys name, but there is a channel for fixing those things and he goes step by step through his debugging and fixing.
