gprs module sending and receiving date from rs232 interface?

Hi All,

I am building a circuit board that sends data by gprs, my microchip has an rs232 interface and i was wondering how to get the gprs module to send and receive data from the microchip?

Also would the gprs module need any setup from the microchip because it doesnt have the capability to do this.
