good solid analog way to do pulse level shifting

Hello Ian,I will simulate the circuit you reccomended. could you say what is the full list of requirements for such device so I could lear,.
I know that my input is 0-5V
output -2 to -6V
rise time 20ns
what else am I missing?
Also could you recommend another next level level shifting circuit I could learn its inner logic?

There isn't just one level shifting circuit, there are many variants depending on whether you need voltage accuracy, or high speed, and as you haven't specified what it is for, we don't know which one would be best for you.
