Ken
He should be about the coldest in the US. Its known for its cold. Their stadiums a dome I believe its so cold. But being North or South in the state could make a difference. Many US states are the size of small countries.I see you are in Minneapolis. How is the weather there now?

Heres their 3 day forcast.Known for their cold... What's the temperature this time of year?
Thanks, my mother in law lives appx 45 min from Minneapolis, that's where my interest comes from.Heres their 3 day forcast.
Sat 41°/-4° Sun 12/-9° Mon -2°/-13°
38°F with a 33MPH wind. Isn't too great for the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships on a lake near our house. Supposed to go to 40MPH and -2°F by morning. At least we aren't getting snow on top of it.I see you are in Minneapolis. How is the weather there now?
Colds what you want! When its warm they hide! When its cold they have to come out and sun to keep their temps up. Plus their lathargic so their easy to handle, reaction times 30%, strength is 30%, etc.. So far the round up has caught a total of 21 snakes. They were blaming it on the un seasonal warm weather. They wanted to the cold cause it brings em out. Thats why the hunt was for Jan-Feb and not July-Aug. Thats also why python hunters is filmed in late Fall-Winter.The weather just off enough to keep snakes hidden away, damp and rainey.
We just had 10 days of warm weather,a record. Now it back to being iffy.
Just enough to keep you home, planning.
Yah sure. We used to do the same thing with rattlesnakes and cottenmouths as a kid plus I've owned a python before, iguana's, a nile monitor, a savanah monitor, etc.. I would only go when its below 55f during the day. I'd die to go when it rains iguana's! You'll find em coming up on the pavement. But even if you don't find a large one call it in even a baby or small one. They've only caught like 21 snakes in a week because of the hot weather. Plus if you see a baby others will be around and possibly their parents. So if you find a small or baby one you may get more resources to search that area. The idea is to find the hot pockets where the big 16 ft breeders are. Just take a GPS with you and you'll be fine, learn to use the numbers not the map because if you loose signal with a tower no maps. So you'll need to get back by way points using long and lat settings. So writing down your long and lat where your car is then when you feel you need a way point check your phones gps and copy and paste the long and lats' in a text doc. That way you won't get lost if your really going out their. Chances are they have that map for science research to tell whats in that area and it has cell coverage for newbs. I fear the bigs ones may be out of the map. Thanks, Max ,would you go alone and use the 1-888 for help, thats what they want.
They want to see the big one alive, if I spot a small one I,m not going to bother.
Been there done that.
How about Alaska? He should be about the coldest in the US.
Like Canada? We're so small we have less people than California. Many US states are the size of small countries.
