As I have been saying for the last 20 years or so, the world is becoming more and more stupid as time goes on.
I wish I was kidding here, but I think there is actually truth to this statement because of several reasons:
1. More financial pressure throughout the world over.
2. Things are more complicated than they were 30 years ago, even 20 years ago.
3. People are more fearful of various world-ending scenarios brought about by the press and by politics.
4. Financial pressure #1 leads to short cuts in designs and general business planning because of time constraints.
5. People fear about losing their jobs.
6. Natural disasters causing more financial problems and threats to human life.

Some of these are combined and there could be many other factors, that's just a quick rundown of what is probably causing these worldwide problems.
The 'stupider' part comes in because of the time pressure and increased complexity of everyday life. Technology plays a big part in this I bet. We are not actually stupider, but we look stupider because we make more mistakes due to the surrounding problems like time pressure. We jump to conclusions faster.

Note I have not left out myself on this :)

How is it possible everyone survived?

The fire appears to be at the rear of the aircraft and the body came in contact with the ground "relatively" gently (note the quotes), so those things really helped.

What amazed me is that someone inside the plane, while evacuating from a plane that is upside down and on fire, just HAVE to pull out their cell phones and film everything. Then, people after getting out, stand there and pull out their cell phones and film instead of helping their fellow passengers get out of the way.

To be fair, one of the first things I would do as soon as I exited such a scene would be to stay clear of the plane's doors and get the hell out of the way. And then I'd be attentive as to how I might be of help ... and yes, if I saw that my help was not needed (and the situation was not a dangerous one) I have to admit that I might have started filming, if only to gather "evidence" that might later be used by more knowledgeable people.

One thing I would never, ever do, though, is take my damn bags or any sort of property that's not already on me while evacuating. That is such a stupid, and very selfish thing that some people do.

Volvo Owners Find Fake ‘Bowers & VVilkins’ Speakers In Chinese Cars
Chinese customers reported irregularities like poorly designed crystal gearshifts alongside counterfeit speakers
After the dissatisfied customer took the story to social media, it quickly became clear that this wasn’t an isolated incident.

As reported by JoongAng Ilbo, other Volvo owners in China also found speakers labeled “Bowers & VVilkins” or even “Bovvers & Wilkins” in their vehicles, sparking questions about whether the counterfeit products were intentionally installed. So far, it remains unclear which Volvo models are affected and if all of them were sold by the same dealership.
Can't spell Crap without C(C)P.

This DEI mis and disinformation crap needs to stop. There are plenty of real problems without these sorts of lies.
https://www.avweb.com/aviation-news/delta-counters-crash-pilot-disinformation/

Endeavor Air and Delta are correcting disinformation in social media containing false and misleading assertions about the flight crew of Endeavor Air 4819.

- Captain: Mesaba Airlines, a progenitor company of Endeavor Air, hired the captain in October 2007. He has served both as an active duty Captain and in pilot training and flight safety capacities. Assertions that he failed training events are false. Assertions that he failed to flow into a pilot position at Delta Air Lines due to training failures are also false.

First Officer: Hired in January 2024 by Endeavor Air and completed training in April. She has been flying for Endeavor since that time. Her flight experience exceeded the minimum requirements set by U.S. Federal regulations. Assertions that she failed training events are false.
Both crew members are qualified and FAA certified for their positions.

PPrune: "After the incident, Flexjet pulled off at N2, allowing the flight crew to perhaps contemplate their speckiness in the Universe. Flight departed on 22L about 26 minutes after the incident"
