Man hands officers meth instead of registration at traffic stop

Inside the bag, were “a couple pieces of crystal-like substance,” and officers led a K9 unit around the area of the vehicle to perform a free-air sniff which resulted in a positive indication, according to the complaint.

Porter was found to be in possession of 4 grams of meth, and a passenger in the vehicle, Jared Mayle, 21, of Salem, had 220 grams of meth, officers said
Just a small methunderstanding.

Yup, I've actually seen a few of those right after they happened. Not a pretty sight. Nor was the time my 14' Boston Whaler lookalike bounced so hard on a dirt road that it loosened its tie downs and bounced off the trailer ending upside down in the ditch after pulling its bow eye out. I felt the hard "tug" on my Bronco and wondered "what was that". Looking in the predawn rearview mirror was a sickening sight. Needless to say the duck hunting for that day came to a crashing halt!

Do you know how hard it is to roll up and over shadows in a wheelchair?
Been there and done that. Wife just went from wheelchair to walker as a result of cancer. Never saw a ticket issued for having a shadow extend over a handicapped parking space. I figure either a vehicle is or is not in a handicapped space regardless of where the sun is casting a shadow. Unless she is with me I never use her placard. Then too, she never drove and exits on the passenger side wheelchair and now the walker but I see being sited for a shadow is over the line. Anyway I am more familiar with handicapped parking than I ever wanted to be. My wife liked "driving" hers rather than me pushing her and never had a problem with shadows? Simply put there is no way unless the space is made large enough to avoid a shadow passing over the line. I revert back to "they have to be kidding me".

Had it happen back in the 70s following a pickup that had what looked like a metal siding outhouse in the back of it. It started swaying back and forth then a big OH CRAP moment as it lifted off up and out of the truck. Luckily, we saw it happening and were able to slow down and avoid its crash landing.

At work one of the salesmen that regularly called on us showed up and was all shook up. Driving down I-95 at 85mph when the vehicle in front of him ran over a piece of 2x4 scrap and launched it. It struck the windshield between him and his passenger butt first and punched through the safety glass into the car about 18" and shattered the windshield. We didn't get taken out for lunch that day as he was scrambling to get his windshield replaced to make the long drive home.

Red Bull "Plane Swap" stunt partially fails. One plane crashes and would-be pilot has to deploy his parachute. Other plane lands safely with its new pilot. FAA denied request to allow the planes to glide (free-fall) without pilots but Red Bull continued without approval. Red Bull and the two pilots are now the subject of an FAA inquiry. They could lose their pilot licenses, get fines and possibly more. Some experts claim Red Bull could lose their right to operate planes in the US and promote air shows in the US.

I wonder if they'll be punished because they proceeded without a permit... or because they failed

I need one of those. :) Memories of the early Corvett with the speedometer going up to 160 MPH. They do point out the 330 MPH is theoretical.
