This connector has a very long history, and the increasing number of derivatives seems to have made it difficult to understand its coming history. The author of the URL you mentioned has an extraordinary obsession with this terminal. For the work I do on these terminals, it is worth buying high-end tools.

I use low-cost crimping tools for infrequently used terminals, but the finish is unforgivably low. I have several high-end crimping tools. The results of crimping with these tools are as comfortable as riding in a Rolls Royce every time I observe them with a loupe.
