Hello,

I am looking for glass fuses of the type T32L250V (5x20 mm or 0.2x0.79"). Regular vendors in here Europe like Farnell or Conrad here in the Netherlands do not supply these. An idea where to get some?

(fuse is in an oven in a laboratory)

regards,

Stefan

Is that really 32A? I’ve never seen a 5x20mm fuse more than 10A because the fuse holders can’t take any more than 10A without melting.

I was also surprised about the value but it is a big oven (2000 W), yet 32A seems high, I agree.

Hello,
Thanks all for your comments. Found some old manual of the oven on the Internet of the oven and there a 15A fuse is mentioned. We will try that. Still strange the old fuse really says T32L250V (it also cannot be a missing dot as the fuse should be at least 10 A for this 2 kW oven).

There are no 3.2A fuses, they are 3.15A, so definitely 32A.
Probably at some time, the fuse blew and some idiot thought "Dammit I'm not going to let that happen again", but it puzzles me how said idiot had access to 32A fuses, as the joint efforts of all on AAC failed to find a single one.

I'd go for 10A, in a ceramic case, as they are easy to get and will blow before the fuseholder melts. Only reason to prefer 15A is if it is mounted somewhere particularly warm (yes, I know it's an oven, so it will be a bit warm)
