FlexLM License files

I've got some CAD software issues coming up, and this is one of two possible solutions.

My CAD software versions are 2005 and 2007. They are way obsolete but fine for what I'm doing these days. And they give me access to a lot of legacy files. They use Flex LM license files that have end dates coded into them, and the dates are coming up.

The companies were acquired by Mentor, which was acquired by Siemens. I'm crawling through their structure trying to get to a live body who can think beyond simply selling the latest version.

Rather than go through a massive learning curve for the newest version, what I would like is a set of license files for the software I have, with new expiration dates maybe 15 years out. Is this possible? Any Flex gurus out there?

Thanks.

sigh... i had the same issue for many years with different products that use that licensing mechanism. one that i use most often is KUKA OfficeLite. and coincidentally just yesterday i got another *.LIC file that will again only last for a year. i absolutely hate this. new license files or at least reminders could be emailed automatically specially when one does work with many different pieces of software. so many times i found myself in situation where the darn thing just expired...

as far as i know there is no way around it. pretty sure that this1 year limit is set in stone by Flexera and not their clients. one can get renewal using different mechanisms, by connecting to server and borrowing license, or using license file. connecting to server is real pita even when server is local. but regardless of system, it is always 1 year max.

waiting for some hero to hack the darn thing...

i agree... once they get paid for product, there should be no more hassle for user. they already got the money so making paying users put up with this crap is just a torture.
