i have mounted a extra 12volt led R9-8 led light on headlight have cut into harness taken the wire that comes from flasher relay connected to + on R9-8 light grounded the other side to frame indicators work with light for left /right side with R9-8 led light also, but when i isolate indicators cancel turn signals ,R9-8 light flashes quickly without indicators on any ideas i tryed a diode with resistance of 300 but to no avail didnt work
confused.

 

I'm not quite sure what you have done here but most car flasher relays only work properly if they are connected to the correct sort of indicator lamp.

The high current of the combined (filament) lamps is required to make the flasher work. One of the reasons for this is that the law says that a failure of a turn indicator lamp must be made obvious to the driver.

Another reason is that in the old days the flasher relay depended on an internal heater (powered by the lamp current) to operate a thermal switch inside the unit.

So if your lamp does not draw enough current it will not flash correctly.
