Look for a "1 uF", "400 V AC" capacitor as a replacement. A slightly higher capacitance value does no harm. But it Has To Be An AC Capacitor - non polarized.Hello,
Can i replace polypropylene film capacitor (105K - 400 V) with any other type of caps, my fan doesn't work and i can't find a new cap.
THANKS.
Which country are you in? Here, in India, any electrical shop would have these.I spent weeks searching for it all i can find is ceramic and electrolytic caps, so i'm trying to replace it with another type(i'm a civil engineer)
Mouser lists dozens of choices for 1uF 400VAC:I spent weeks searching for it all i can find is ceramic and electrolytic caps, so i'm trying to replace it with another type(i'm a civil engineer)
Many of those are DC rated only and do not give any AC specMouser lists dozens of choices for 1uF 400VAC:
The first datasheet I looked at, with a 630VDC rating, indicated the maximum AC voltage was 400.Many of those are DC rated only and do not give any AC spec
e.g. MKS4S041007H00KSSD
App Requires motor run rated.
