Sounds about as useful as my cat with a laser. Oh wait, laser cats has been done already!

I wonder if the OP ever got what he wanted. I'm proud of the monster I created with a flip answer to his post. Creativity lurks here in the shadows just waiting to pounce.

I agree, though your use of text speak pains me to read.

One place to begin is to ask yourself what sort of things outside of electronics do you find interesting? Secondly, what area of electronics do you find most interesting?

If you answer both of those questions in English (!), I think some sincere suggestions will follow.

Hello,

I am serious about the floor vibration sensor.
I made one for measuring the floor vibration once.
I was used to see if the floor was stable enough to have a NMR magnet in the room.

I was not referring to your suggestion, my friend. I happen to have had in interest in measuring floor vibrations too -- yes, for an NMR, a mass spec., and to study the effects of low-frequency sound on productivity. The latter is an interesting, significant, and often ignored aspect of the work environment.

However, the post following yours(#19) put it in a different light.

U can tell me. It's not nice to hold anything.

Besides, I don't think my post is the only one that put's it in a different light.


The thing is, I enjoy while I read and I tend to show it.
If it makes me laugh, I will laugh and I will say it out loud.
and I know u find me different.
I am different, and I am proud, it is what stands me out of the rest. :)

I got an addition to a previous post

Single poled magnetic fish that use DSP for brains using perpetual motion for power and lasers for....having lasers!
Skip for having lasers.
Why not use lasers to fry other fishies. This will make fishing a breeze.
And u won't need to cook 'em too. U can eat it when they surface. Instant laser fried fish. Fresh out of water. :D

I don't know if the sensitivity is relevant, but every MacBook has a built-in seismograph these days. You can access the accelerometers with utilities such as SeisMac, to see tiny vibrations along the 3 axes. There are efforts underway to use the seismographic data from thousands on networked Macs to provide useful geophysical measurements. Of course there is a lot of noise (non-seismic activity), but that can be overcome using lots of signals and clever software.

I build this floor vibration meter about 20 years ago, but it can still be a challenge today if you do not want to use premade sensors.
This way you can use the physics how the sensor works.

I used a permanent magnet and a hallsensor on a spring.
A hall sensor could be very useful in keeping people from entering the same room all the time. You could strategically place laser-cats on springs to determine when you were approaching a hallway, or if you were actually in one and the proper direction of travel.
