I have just completed a review this piece of test equipment.. As I said, I was not completely happy with the output control so I built one myself. It should be stated did you need an oscilloscope to get best use out of this test equipment. Adjust the output of the FG-100 for the maximum amplitude and cleanest waveform, then hook this attenuator up to the output as shown.
in designing this attenuator I was aiming for 600Ω loading on the FG-100 . I could have used 20DB or 40 DB for the level switch but I chose to keep it simple instead. Documents attached include the layout and drilling guide for the box, as well as the schematic of the unit.
