Hello all, I've been trying to test my Peltier moodule (tec1-12706) with 2 1.3V batteries (2.6 in total) connected in parallel.

|- -|-------|Module -|

The batteries are full and show 2.6 volts.
But when I measure the voltage drop on the Peltier it shows only 1.6V.

Am I missing something?

Probably because you are trying to draw more current from the batteries than they are happy with.
What are the batteries?
What type peltier module?

What @AlbertHall said and see datasheet https://peltiermodules.com/peltier.datasheet/TEC1-12706.pdf Generally regarded as a 12v device (note performance curve starting at ~4v but nothing at 2.6v).

Stay cool, or hot, depending upon your side :)
