Hey guys just a quick troubleshooting check. My friend was working on a project with an open source PLC Plduino and he was trying to program the ESP8266 on the ESP-02 module externally. The PLC has a header and he mistakenly hooked up the USB to all the pins on the header that he could which included the 5V power line. So, in short, he hooked up 5v to the Vcc pin which was only supposed to be 3V3 which is what the ESP is supposed to run on. He has never been able to flash his code on to the ESP and I'm thinking it is because he caused damage to the ESP. Is there a way I can confirm this? If this is the case then it looks like I need to simply replace the ESP-02 on the PLC board?
Thanks
