Hello,
I have recently been set an assignment to design and test a distortion unit, simple 8-1 mixer and what I think is a graphic equalizer.
One of the questions states:
" 1.Design and construct apparatus for splitting an audio stream into three different spectral bands. "
Would I be correct in thinking that if I use 3 filters set at certain frequencies, i.e. LP, HP and Band Pass , that I can then use these outputs to give 3 different spectrums?
For instance I found a graphic equalizer schematic on the net.
If you look at thoughts.jpg you can see that it says to run circuits in parallel for required number of filters.
So in summary would it be okay to use 3 of these such circuits ( i.e. that which is in dotted lines ) with correct values for C's and R, to give a bass, mid and treble output?
I realise my post is a bit muddled but any help would be much apreciated. Thank you,
Sausages
