I want to have two 8088s pigged-backed and connected together by their pins but with a physical switch that selects which one is enabled, and which is disabled.
I think the easiest way to do this would by via HOLD, but I need some guidance on any timing logic required. I don't want any bus contention following power on reset before the HOLD is actioned.
I know I will need some logic to hand ALE and INTA as these don't tri-state in hold.
Does anyone have specific suggestions on how to do all this please?
