Which bring us back to the topic of fun...
When I was a kid I used to treasure a special issue of Popular Electronics that had more than 100 "useful" circuits in it... I used to stare at those diagrams dying to understand how they were supposed to work. But there were no engineers in my numerous family... only lawyers, doctors, businessmen, etc... but NO ONE with any sort of technical expertise, be it in electronics, or mechanics.... I WAS SO ALONE!!!!!

It wasn't until my mid-twenties when I finally built my first circuit... you could say I'm a late bloomer in this field.
