Is there a good, free software I can get online to draw a schematic and print it out. I just need something that has items like chips, resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc... I have Microsoft Visio, but not the professional version. The standard version doesn't have electrical components. Any suggestions?

+1 on the Kicad, but mainly geared to Electronic schematic, for electrical control devices you may have to make a library of your own.

It's worth mentioning LTspice. It's not strictly for drawing schematics, but it can be used for that and as a plus, you get a simulation when your drawing is done. Widely used around here.

It has a formidable learning curve for its interface, but the pain doesn't last long. Pay attention to sample schematics.
