I would like to get some opinions in this topic. I work for a DoD Contractor and there are several technicians that have an EET degree (from Devry, UofPhonix, etc....) I over heard one of them make a comment about the only difference between their degree (EET) and a EE is the Math. I did not say anything about it but it made me laugh.

Over here the Bachelor of Engineering Technology is 3 years (whereas the Bachelor of Engineering is 4 years) and the main difference is that you don't do a final year project with the BEngTech, nor do they do some of the more management and research orientated courses. As far as I'm aware (or at least at my university) they do the same maths subjects at the people doing the BEng.
