I just mde a electric guitar nd i was wondering what to connect the pick-up to besides the amp? because it buzes even with shielded audio cable?

 

You did connect the shield to ground at one end, yes?

Can you share the manufacturer and model of the pickup?

 

yes i did connect it to the ground.

It is a fender i'am not sure of the model but it said strat

 

Hiya,i would try turning down preamp,and turning main volume up,also keep clear of flouresent lights,they cause me noise problems with guitar/radio.Also an effects unit with `noise gate` cuts out buzzes.

If you have a metal bridge you might try to
hook a wire to ground shield to it.

 

Have you checked the ground connection to the input socket within the amp? Is the input socket OK? Do you have continuity between guitar ground and amplifier ground?
