Tnx but I don't do Dayton, that's HP's thing So she totally shames ppl on here for being like she says _parsimonious_ for not buying new equipment then turns around and drops big $ at Hamvention for total junk on basis that it's like her annual _pilgrimage_ My big events (which I don't call pilgrimages) are Melbourne International Film Festival and EAA Air Venture so cuz I'm aerobatic pilot w/o broken neck HP says I'm rara avis, she's so funny, NOT!
So anyhow if you attend those events maybe we've met or will meet someday, who knows?

Perhaps. I am currently writing a book for ARRL on active receiving antennas. It won't be ready by Dayton, but I can at least make a few pre-publication plugs while I'm there.

HP I can say for sure he doesn't have any roomers or like that cuz I paid special attention for telltales during visit on Tuesday! He's just too lazy to spread out into house but he says after accident he's moving workshop do 1'st floor rec room and chemistry lab to cellar so he can rig compliant exhaust hood and like that

Thought you might find THIS interesting? -- Albeit less than imminent, the 'writing' is, most distinctly, 'on the wall'... The prodigy of Crookes, Rontgen and Coolidge is destined to 'fall' - Last as it was first; and with it, the final 'bastion' of The Age of The Electron Tube

Drollery aside, it really is quite poignant -- I'm old enough to recall early (commercially available) LEDs -- which being, as they were, little more than under-performing 'pilot lamps' -- laboratory curiosities at best... Little did I imagine that in three decade's time they'd offer legitimate competition to HID illumination technology!

In parallel fashion, perhaps one day you'll occasion to regale incredulous twenty-somethings with accounts of other days finding x-ray sources fashioned of glass and heavy metal -- away back when personal communication devices were carried as accessories - as opposed to implants

No need to remind me that 'you told me so'

As per prospective full body exposure (and, via conflation of REMs with Rads, [which being appropriate given the PE range and source involved]) -- Yes - by a factor 8,760 -- All of which being a 'neat trick' with the device in question... But seriously! Prolonged or repeated exposure to even so feeble a source would be both unhealthy and rather foolish....
