Since the relay voltage is not critical, I removed the voltage reference in my circuit and drive the reference point directly from the control signal (V2).
The control signal thus turns the relay on and off, as well as doubling for the voltage reference.
If the signal is 5V instead of 3.3V, then reduce the value of R2 to 200 ohms.
