I have a requirement of one dpst relay connected in hot and neutral line. the power input is 120V 60 hz. Can i do that with the help of two spst relay connected in parallel? will there be any issue while disconnecting the system?
Is there any possibility of getting ltspice model for the dpst?

Hi,
two SPST relays can replace one DPDT relay. In the other hand, if the DPDT relay is used, in case if the coil is broken , both contacts will not work. If two SPDT relays are used, two contacts will be in different states. Whether this is important in your circuit, I do not know

For operating switching power, using a double pole relay is a better choice. Consider if line and neutral get swapped by some error. The situation could exist where the circuit is still hot but not operating. And that could even happen of the line and neutral were correct.

The condition of the neutral side open with the line side live is regarded as unsafe, because it certainly IS UNSAFE. Thus I do not recommend separate relays.

Of course some supply sources may not have much of a relay selection, there are many of those on line that know nothing at all about the products they sell. They are the ones to avoid because even if they are honest they can provide no support.
